As a landscape photographer I often find myself watching the sky, staring at the clouds, hoping they will still be around come sunset. On this particular evening I was lucky enough to be down at the South Perth foreshore, and have the clouds stick around for long enough to catch the last few rays of sunlight for the day.
I set up and waited while watching a few swans float by in the Swan River. Not much later the sun began to light the clouds up. I started shooting a few frames, still waiting, and as time went by the colour in the clouds only got more intense.
In this photograph, 5 seconds worth of exposure blurs the water and smooths and enhances the reflections of the buildings in the river. A classic Perth scene captured.
