The Devil’s Marbles, in the Northern Territory of Australia, is a place that I had wanted to go to for a long time. I’d seen photographs of it in my favourite landscape photography books and online for years, and something about the place just caught my imagination. Being in the middle of nowhere in the centre of Australia it seemed so, so far away… Finally, last year I had a chance to drive through the area while circumnavigating Australia by car. The place was fantastic, and the rocks really lit up during the magic hours – at sunrise and sunset. In this photo you can see only one of the large stacks of boulders, but there are many more around the area.
