Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park was one of the places I had wanted to visit in Australia for years before I finally made it there and captured this beautiful sunrise.
On the fourth morning of our week long stay and still dark, setting up my gear in the near freezing temperature under slight drizzling rain, I could sense it was going to be a great sunrise. I could see a thin break in the clouds just along the horizon to the East where the sun was going to rise. After patiently waiting for the moment the sun hit the horizon I only had time to shoot this one photograph before the break in the sky closed up and the orange glow across the landscape disappeared.
What a magical moment it was!
